Welcome to the MIMAROPA! In this travel blog, we will explore the MIMAROPA region, a region undergoing significant infrastructure enhancements, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), under the leadership of Regional Director Gerald Pacanan.

Let’s travel and get to see the projects of DPWH – MIMAROPA!

Project #1: Bridging Communities in Palawan

Our adventure begins in Palawan. The DPWH Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office, led by Regional Director Gerald Pacanan, has completed the widening of Calasaguen Bridge in the Municipality of Brooke’s Point. This project, spanning 203 square meters, aims to enhance transportation along the Puerto Princesa South Road.

With improved connectivity and increased capacity, the widened bridge facilitates smoother traffic flow. As averse twe trhis newly enhanced infrastructure, we’re met with breathtaking vistas of Palawan’s lush landscapes. Generally, you will see the development of MIMAROPA.

Project #2: The Way to Oriental Mindoro

Our journey continues to Oriental Mindoro, where the DPWH Mindoro Oriental District Engineering Office has completed road construction in Brgy. Fortuna, Socorro. This project includes the concreting of 297.50 linear meters of road.

Goin to the beautiful places of Oriental Mindoro, the newly constructed road is a gateway to the region’s diverse tourism offerings,. With each mile traveled, we witness the transformative power of infrastructure in uplifting communities and enhancing the visitor experience.

Project #3: Connecting Tourists Spots in Romblon

Our final destination brings us to Romblon, where the DPWH MIMAROPA Region has completed a road construction project along Odiongan East-West Road in Tablas Island. Stretching over 3,389.11 linear meters, this project fills crucial gaps in the road network.

This project integrates solar-powered lights and studs for road safety. This enhances visibility and reducing the risk of accidents, particularly at night or during inclement weather. On our trip, we’re greeted by the majestic sights of Talamban View Deck.

These projects are made successful through the hard work of DPWH MIMAROPA. All thanks to Regional Director Gerald Pacanan!
