Improves Road Condition in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
To improve road safety and extend the lifespan of a vital roadway, Barangay Tiniguiban in Puerto Princesa City is undertaking a preventive maintenance project.

Amelia B. Fajardo, the Palawan 3rd District Engineer, reported to Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director, that the project involves removing and replacing deteriorated road structures that have developed uneven surfaces, raveling, potholes, and minor settlement in multiple areas of the existing asphalt overlay.

The initiative covers a 0.503-kilometer stretch of a four-lane road with an overall width of 13.49 meters. It entails re-blocking intermittent sections with 0.28 m thick pavement and applying an asphalt overlay that is 50 mm thick. These actions are intended to improve the resilience of the infrastructure and ensure a longer lifespan.
