Local transportation is provided by tricycles and jeepneys in Cotabato City.

For more distant attractions, you may need to use a motorcycle or local transport services. If you are heading to sites like Asik-Asik Falls or other remote destinations, it is best to schedule your transportation ahead of time.

Places to Add to a Longer Mindanao Itinerary

If I had more time to explore the region, I would be tempted to combine Cotabato with a few other neighboring places.

Lake Holon – A gorgeous mountain lake in South Cotabato excellent for those who want to experience nature and a peaceful ambiance.

General Santos City – A bustling city noted for its tuna industry, seafood, restaurants and shopping.

Sarangani – Great for those who like beaches, coastal views and calm resorts.

Davao City – A significant Mindanao destination with a blend of food, culture, nature, shopping and adventure.

These locations can be combined to make a short visit to Cotabato a longer trip in Mindanao.

Why Cotabato Deserves More Attention
